When I buy software, I want, and expect it to work. This isn't always the case, and some software will only seem to work IF you have specific hardware. Don't try mixing and matching your motherboard, CD or DVD burner or anything else, because the software will ONLY work with what it wants.
A good example of this behavior is Neo's burner software, but that's another article!
Cheetah CD DVD Burner software isn't the least bit like that. It always works, and it work no matter on what machine I put it on. This makes me happy.. And not wasting Cd's & DVDs because they didn't burn correctly or the software error'ed out makes me VERY happy (I'm cheap .. what can I say!).
Cheetah's software makes me happy in every respect. It has all the usual tools for burning Blu-Ray, Dual Layer DVD, DVD and Cd's, Audio Cd's from MP3, MP2, AVI, WMA, and WAV files. It also creates ISO files, burn Bin/Cue files, and Burn Video DVDs. Supports DAO and TAO burning modes for all disc types.
Combine those options with almost always making perfect Cd's & DVDs and working with every different computer & CD/DVD burner I've got, plus the excellent price, and you have a major keeper!
The burner view layout is well organized and logical. The layout is like the the Windows file explorer with a window view of your hard drive and files, and to the left is a pane for you to drag/drop your files to burn onto the CD or DVD. At the bottom, you can see how much space you've used and how much is left.
If you've ever used the included Windows Vista burner, you've experienced how annoying it is to not know how much space you have left before trying to burn a CD and have it whine about too many files for the CD or DVD.
Burning a CD/DVD couldn't be simpler. Click on the the Start graphic and choose what you'd like to burn (music CD, movie, data etc.), then drag drop the files into the left hand pane. Click on the Burn graphic and Cheetah does it's thing. Which will more than likely be a perfectly burned disk.
My advice? There is just no reason to spend more than about $25.00 on CD & DVD disk burning software since Cheetah is available to handle all your burning needs!
